A SERVICE of thanksgiving, a flower festival and an exhibition of church records, photographs and more will be held at Hemyock’s Parish Church this year as St Mary’s celebrates its 750th anniversary.

The  ‘Celebration’ flower festival will be held over four days – Thursday-Sunday, June 8-11. Anyone with a special celebration during 2017 who would like to make a donation towards sponsorship of one of the floral arrangements is asked to contact Monica for further details on 01823 681161.

On Sunday, July 30, the church will welcome The Rt Rev Sarah Mullally, Bishop of Crediton, to the morning service at 10.30am – everyone will be warmly welcomed.

Do you have a past or present connection to St Mary’s? Were you Baptised, Confirmed or married there? Did your family worship there? Perhaps you were a bellringer, choir member, attended Sunday School or Bible Class – if so do you have memories, photographs  or documents  you would be willing to share?

The Friends of St Mary’s would be delighted to hear from you – they can make copies of any photos/documents.

The exhibition will take place over Heritage Days – Friday-Sunday, September 8-10, at the church.  Contact Patricia on 01823 680436 or email [email protected]
