IMPROVED street name signage has emerged as the favoured means to resolve delivery problems in two similarly named roads on the new Cades Farm estate in Wellington.

Local Conservative councillors surveyed every house in Aspin Close and Aspin Road after hearing of the worry and frustration residents suffered with post and packages going to the wrong addresses.

But while more than half of the residents who took part said they had experienced postal problems, two-thirds were against the idea of changing of the street names.

Instead, many people said they believed issues experienced in the early days of the estate were now settling down and that today’s problems were more to do with delivery drivers missing road name plates.
