COLDHARBOUR Mill at Uffculme is holding a children’s steam day on Sunday (July 29).

It will mark the opening of a new outdoor play area and Victorian Dressing up area where children of all ages can dress in period costumes.

Visitors can either explore the mill at leisure or join one of the free guided tours available throughout the day of the factory and steam complex.

In free ‘have-a-go-sessions’ all ages can try some of the traditional ways of spinning, weaving and knitting, highlighting how the industrial revolution changed social history forever.

The Mill is one of the last surviving Victorian woollen mills in the country.
