THE now not-so-young Colin Shepherd, of Nynehead, is still motorbiking. Colin called into the WWN office last week after spotting his name in the From Our Files column in the newspaper.

In the July 13, 1966, edition of the WWN we reported that Colin, then of Mantle Street, had become the youngest motorcyclist in Wellington after passing his test on his 16th birthday.

The former Wellington retained firefighter, who used to have a cycle shop where estate agent Wilkie, May and Tuckwood is now sited in High Street, nowadays rides a BMW motorbike.
