A ROCKWELL Green newsagent is losing staff because they are financially better off on benefits.

Store owner Simon Brock, a former Wellington policeman who now runs Brocks Convenience Store, is warning potential employees to check their benefits before applying to him for a job because he says he cant match state handouts.

Now, Mark Formosa, who campaigned for the Conservatives in the General Election in May, has highlighted the case to Work and Pensions Secretary, Iain Duncan Smith.
