THOUSANDS of visitors are expected to attend Wellington Street Fair being held on Sunday and which will see High Street and South Street closed for most of the day.
The fair is the main fundraiser for the annual Wellington Carnival being staged in September.
The street fair has grown over the last few years and was a big success last year with a wide range of stalls, entertainment and the added bonus of local shops staying open.
Proceeds from the carnival go to local charities, schools and organisations.
The road closures will be in place from 6am-6pm.
Wellington Carnival chairperson Sharon Collins said: “The committee is planning a grand draw on the day and if you haven’t already been contacted, we would be grateful if you are able to donate a prize.”
