THE Drama department at Wellington School is celebrating after receiving the school’s best ever set of LAMDA results.

Students proved themselves top all-round performers as more than ever before sat the challenging London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art exams. Fifty-five candidates took the exams and every one of them passed at either Merit or Distinction level, with 86 per cent awarded the top grade.

Every LAMDA student must learn, direct and perform up to three pieces from different time periods and answer questions on their pieces and drama practitioners used.

Students (pictured) performed an eclectic mix of contemporary and older pieces including the works of Ibsen, Tom Morris and Shakespeare.
