STUDENTS at Kingsmead School, Wiveliscombe, had great fun raising funds for Comic Relief 2017.

Events were held throughout the week, with red noses for sale, a lunchtime comedy film club to enjoy and class cake sales.

On Comic Relief day pupils gave a minimum of 50p for an additional non-uniform day.

At lunchtime a ’Ninja Warrior’-style pay-to-play assault course ran in the gym while outside students lined up to hurl soaking sponge balls at teachers Tom Johns, Maria Rayson, Ted Keay and Alan Green.

The school said students could feel very proud of their hard work – they raised a net total of £718.13.
