SUMO wrestling was just one of the attractions at a charity day at the Barley Mow in Rockwell Green.

The event raised a massive £1,410 for Acorn Ward at Southmead Hospital in Bristol which looked after village youngster Miya Baker who was born 14 weeks premature weighing 1lb 2oz in August 2014.

Pub landlady Lorraine Taylor has thanked the following for supporting the event: David Pike Horse Racing, Wellfit Therapy, Prideshine Valeting, Just Me and My Camera, Tom & Alex Dunn from West Buckland Stables, The Beauty Room, The Globe at Sampford Peverell, Barking Boutiques, Jen Wicks Photography, Tim Potters butchers, Manny’s barbers, Cut Above mobile hairdressers, Darren Salter Driving School, Squeaky Clean, Holly the face painter and Mark and Andy the handymen – and everyone who came along to support and donate.
