To celebrate International Make Music Day, the people of Wiveliscombe wanted to enjoy more than one day, so they extended it to two.
Groups from around the area congregated in Jubilee Gardens on Saturday to perform free of charge – the ethos of the event.
Glorious weather brought out lots of people to enjoy performances by Wiveliscombe Community Wind Band, Taunton Thespians, Power of Two, the Singsationals and Bradford Players. The afternoon finished with a Big Sing, possibly the biggest mass karaoke the town has seen.
In the evening many flocked to Cotleigh Brewery to enjoy performances from The Lodgers, Fodo, ceilidh band The Rusty Buckets and The Soft Lads.
Youngsters from the High Park Community Music Project hosted an instrument try-out session in the morning.
The organisers would like to send a big thank you to everyone who took part and supported the event.
School choirs from around the area were due to sing at St Andrew’s Church in Wiveliscombe on Friday as part of the event.
