PEOPLE in Wiveliscombe are getting the chance to respond to a housing need survey even though the original deadline passed before Christmas.

The decision to extend the deadline, taken at the February meeting of Wiveliscombe parish council, comes after just 18 households returned completed housing need forms, compared with 67 responses in a similar survey conducted in 2005.

Now, people in housing need have been given an extra six weeks to respond.
