COLIN Spackman, curator of Wellington Museum, is giving an illustrated free talk to mark the third anniversary of the opening of The Iron Duke.
His 30-minute talk on Wellington and its Dukedom is at The Lantern Room in The Iron Duke on Wednesday, August 28, starting at 10am.
Topics include: How Arthur Wellesley became the first Duke of Wellington, land owned by the dukedom and visits made by the nine dukes.
Donations can be made in aid of Wellington Local History and Museum Society and a booklet based on the talk, price £3.50, will be on sale.
