ACTORS from Taunton Thespians have been trying out their costumes in the sunshine ready for their performance of Romeo and Juliet on Thursday, July 21, at Nynehead Court.

This open air production of Shakespeare’s classic love story will be performed at nine venues across Somerset from July 12-23 including Cleeve Abbey in the west, Muchelney Abbey in the east, Dillington House and Taunton Museum.

Advance tickets are available online via the Taunton Thespians’ website at http://www.tauntonthespians.org,uk, Taunton Visitor Centre on 01823 340470 or the Brewhouse Theatre, Taunton, on 01823 283244 (from Monday, July 11). Tickets priced £12 (full) and £5 (students, under 16 and unwaged) are valid for any of the ten performances and picnics are encouraged.

The full list of performances is: Tuesday, July 12, at the Frank Bond Centre, Bishop’s Hull, Taunton; Wednesday, July 13, in the Courtyard of the Museum of Somerset in Taunton; Thursday, July 14, at Cleve Abbey; Friday, July 15, Blackmore Farm, Cannington; Saturday, July 16, at Muchelney Abbey; Tuesday, July 19, at Dillington House, near Ilminster; Wednesday, July 20, in the Courtyard of the Museum of Somerset in Taunton; Thursday, July 21, at Nynehead Court, near Wellington; Friday, July 22, at Compton House Hotel, Axbridge; Saturday, July 23, at Hartwood House, Crowcombe. Doors open at 6pm for picnics, show starts at 7.30pm.
