COTLEIGH Brewery in Wiveliscombe is hosting a unique music festival this weekend featuring up and coming local singer-songwriters and a legend from the US – Barry ‘the Fish’ Melton.
He was a founder member of Country Joe & the Fish who played at both Monterey Pop and the Woodstock festivals – two of the music festivals which heralded the blossoming folk and rock music we know today.
Stephane Missri from France and Rob Beckinsale, who has played in iconic US band It’s a Beautiful Day, will be appearing with Barry.
Other artists at the festival on Saturday (September 23) from 2.30pm are Jacob and Drinkwater, Greg Hancock, Sam Patten, Jules Reason, Tom Winsborough and the Wivey Ukulele Band.
The festival starts on Friday (September 22) at 7.30pm with Kitty Macfarlane from Milverton headlining with support from Eliza Acty and Border Tales.
