BBC Points West reporter Clinton Rogers and his brother Stan will be tackling their biggest gig yet when they take their Cleverly Every and Sixties Tribute Show to the Regal Theatre in Minehead in March.
The Wellington based band – which also includes Stan’s wife Uta and guitarist Steve Craig – have developed a loyal following since starting out about seven years ago.
They have played the McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater and the Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton three times – selling out on each occasion – but the Regal will be a first for them and potentially their biggest audience as the theatre seats 400.
The show is on Friday, March 1, starting at 7.30pm
“It’s pretty scary if I’m honest – more scary than television!” said Clint today. “We are hugely looking forward to playing the theatre but I’d be lying if I didn’t say there were more than a few nerves!”
Brother Stan added: “It really is lovely to see the loyal following we have – people who keep coming back to see us. We are very grateful for that and we hope some of them will make the journey to the Regal. It is a fabulous theatre.”
The band have sold out most of the venues they have played – and they hope Minehead will be the same
“It’s a feelgood show – with a bit of sixties comedy thrown in,” said Clint. “We just want people to leave with a smile on their face.”
Tickets priced £12 (with concessions) are available through the Regal’s own website – www.regaltheatre.co.uk
