THREE horse teams and a fine display of vintage tractors and ploughs took part when Wellington Monument & District Ploughing Society held its annual ploughing match.
The event, at Hornshay Farm, Nynehead, had a large entry of 61 ploughs which also included more modern tractors in the multi-furrow class.
Secretary Peter Hill thanked Robin and Carol Darby for supplying a wonderful site, and the judges for marking the very high quality ploughing.
President Ken Coles presented the awards which included a new trophy for Champion Horse Ploughman given by Valerie Giles.
