RGB Building Supplies held a charity Pink Day at its Wiveliscombe branch which raised £403.90 to be split between Prostate Cancer UK and Breast Cancer Care.

Staff served breakfast and made a £2 donation to wear pink clothing or dress as women for the day.

Product and marketing manager Keith Harris said: “We’re delighted to have been able to raise this amount of money and I would like to thank all our staff for supporting the event with such enthusiasm and our customers for their generous donations. Prostate Cancer UK, our chosen charity for the year, and Breast Cancer Care do fantastic work and we were delighted to support them.”

Prostate Cancer UK director of fundraising James Beeby said: “What RGB Building Supplies has done for Prostate Cancer UK is a fantastic demonstration of what we call Men United – people coming together to fight this terrible disease. They have not just raised money but have raised awareness of the disease, too. We would like to thank everybody involved in achieving this generous donation.”

RGB Building Supplies held fundraising events across a number of its branches and in total raised £2,053.03.
