HOLCOMBE Rogus wildlife artist Tim Hayward is currently putting the finishing touches to one of his larger commissions – a life-size baby elephant.

The four-and-a-half feet high pachyderm will join a parade of brothers and sisters in a London art exhibition billed as the largest the capital has ever seen, to highlight the plight of the Asian elephant.

Tim, internationally renowned for his wildlife pictures, has been working on sketchbook studies for his elephant design, and has been transfering them to the elephant using shades of jade green, working in a barn at Ridgeway Farm in the village.
