ANOTHER Wellington pub has fallen victim to the tough economic climate.
The Dolphin, in Waterloo Road, is to close its doors tomorrow, Friday after business negotiations that could have seen a new manager in place fell through .
Now, Nick Fenn, who has been landlord at the Dolphin for seven years, told the WWN: "I am left with no option but to close the doors.
"It's a sign of the times."
The WWN has previously highlighted how falling trade has threatened the future of town and village pubs and damaged the fabric of the local community, according to Wellington town landlords.
Mr Fenn said: "The situation is dire. The VAT rise hit us last year, and there's no money about. What we need is bums on seats and elbows on bars."
