Wiveliscombe will be marking Make Music Day this summer, a national free event to encourage people to celebrate and take part in local music.

Youngsters from local schools will be involved in musical sessions on Friday, June 21 – and on Saturday, June 22, it is the turn of the whole town.

Preparations are already in place and many local musicians have been booked to take part in what promises to be a fun day.

A parade will be held to the town square at about noon followed by workshops to encourage people to try out instruments. A variety of local groups will give performances and busking sessions, too.

During the evening the event will move to Cotleigh Brewery for more entertainment. The event is certain to attract many visitors to the town.
