Emergency services declare Somerset major incident after Storm Chandra floodsBloor Homes, which has developed the estate in recent years, is supplying the land for the allotments as part of an agreement with the district council’s planning department. The 33 plots will be managed by Wellington Town Council with the land becoming available in the next few months.
Former regional allotments secretary Allan Cavill and his colleague Michael Tucker visited the site last week to advise the town council how to take best advantage of the space available.
