RED tape is preventing disabled Wellington man Laurence Major from taking rubbish to the tip at Poole.

Mr Major, 54, of Quantock Road, said he was told he needed a permit for his trailer to use the tip and this he has done.

“I was then told I needed a permit for my camper van which I have now also got,” said the former store manager of a large hydraulics company. “Now they tell me I cannot drive my camper to the tip with the trailer. It has to be towed by a car.

“So I’m now stuck with rubbish which I cannot take to the tip because I only have a camper van.

“And I’m not putting the rubbish in the camper van. It is all so ridiculous.”
