SO-CALLED ‘urban explorers’ are being asked to support Wellington Museum by giving copies of photographs they have taken during illicit excursions onto the site of the town’s former Fox’s woollen mill.
Town councillor John Thorne says people taking part in the activity have amassed a ‘treasure trove’ of images documenting the state of the buildings since the mill closed more than two decades ago.
Now he wants them to give photographs to the museum so that a collection can be kept for posterity.
