VILLAGERS took up the invitation to visit the revamped Oake and Bradford post office on Saturday morning.

New manager Angie Higgs held an opening event for locals who met the committee of the ‘charity’ shop who explained how the shop was going forward. Nibbles, cakes, sausages, cheeses, meats, tea and coffee were on offer for customers.

The post office could not be better placed – in the heart of Oake and just up the road from Bradford-on-Tone.

There is room outside for cars and, of course, it sells the Wellington Weekly News among many other things.
