VISITORS are being invited to bless the apple trees at The Dolphin pub in Waterloo Road when Wellington Folk & Custom Society stages its seventh Wellington Wassail.
Visitors are invited to take along pots and pans, drums, whistles and bells to scare off the ‘Maulscrawl’ spirits next Wednesday (January 17) meeting at 7.30pm with the event at 8pm.
The Wellington Wassail 2018 Singers will be there to sing, share and guide everyone through old songs. After the event, there will be traditional folk songs and music sessions in the pub, which singers and musicians are welcome to
join in.
