WEAR your wellies for Wellington Monument – that’s the message from the National Trust for its latest fundraiser to restore the landmark.

A spokesperson said: “Wear your wellies to school or work on Wednesday, November 6. Bring in pennies or pounds to pop in the pot and all money raised will go to the Wellington Monument restoration project.”
