Hello children! I hope you’re having a good week.
On Thursday mum and dad made a treasure hunt in our house. I had to follow clues around all the rooms and eventually found the hidden treasure (which was chocolate) under my bed! In the afternoon I played video games with Toby which was so much fun, and we chatted online for a while. He thought the treasure hunt idea was really cool and he’s going to do one with his family too!
On Friday I decided to make a hopscotch outside. I used chalk and drew the hopscotch on the pavement. It looked really good so I did more drawings on the pavement where it was safe. I played outside until it began to rain, and the chalk washed away. In the evening me, mum and dad watched the film Paddington which was so funny!
On Saturday me, mum and dad went on a walk and went fruit picking. When we got home we made ice lollies from the fruit and put them in the freezer. In the afternoon I did some finger painting but it got really messy and you could hardly tell what it was! In the evening we made pizzas for tea and had the ice lollies for pudding. Yum!
On Sunday I made mum and dad breakfast in bed because our next door neighbour brought us fresh eggs from her chickens. In the morning we hard boiled some of the eggs and did egg and spoon races around the house! We had to go through the entire house and do a lap of the garden before we could finish - and I won! I went to the supermarket with mum in the afternoon and bought everything we needed for a roast dinner, it was delicious!
On Monday I had a lie in but I had to do some school work. I was doing maths but it was hard so mum had to help me. I’m practicing using a compass and protractor to draw shapes. After some practice, I got much better and could finish all my homework. In the afternoon I went on a bike ride to get some exercise and then came back and watched TV.
On Tuesday I had geography work to do - I had to label a map and research landmarks around the world. It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to learn more. Dad bought me an atlas which is a book all about the world, and that really helped me. Mum wanted to help my research by making food from all over the world. For lunch we had Taco’s, which are Mexican, and in the evening we had Mussles, which are French! I am excited to eat more food from around the world next week!
Have a good week kids!
