THE Wellington Flower Show will be upon us soon.

This year it is on Saturday (August 31) in its usual venue, the ARC at Wellington School. This is next to the Princess Royal Sports Centre off South Street.

It has been a challenging growing season but I’m confident that our exhibitors will once again come up trumps and we will be able to put on a fine display of produce, craft, photography, cookery, floral art and children’s exhibits.

Anybody is welcome to enter any class, whether you live in Wellington or further afield. Schedules are available from the library or you can find everything on line at www.wellingtonflowershow.co.uk You can enter online, drop an entry form off at the library or post it to the secretary.

Whitepost Nursery and Ford Nursery will be selling plants and the Wellington WI will have their jams and marmalade for sale.

There will be a jewellery stall and the Museum Society, Hestercombe and the Somerset Wildlife Trust will be there. Refreshments will be available and there will be a raffle. There is plenty of parking beside the venue.

Do come along and support us, either as an exhibitor or visitor. An enjoyable afternoon is guaranteed.
