WELLINGTON in Bloom (WIB) is offering this trophy given to the group in memory of wildlife supporters Bridget and Michael Baker in a ‘green’ gardening competition.

The competition is for a garden or wildlife area created from recycled materials collected this year and is open to families, pre-school nurseries, schools, green volunteer groups and residents in care homes.

The finished project should be between one and three square metres – a gazebo – and easily accessible to give a range of small wild animals and insects a safe winter home.

WIB judges will visit the projects in November and the winning entry will receive the hedgehog trophy.
