JOHN Jarrett, the founder of Wellington Poetry Club, which existed from 1982-87, has written a short history of the club.
The booklet has been produced with the help of Colin Spackman, curator of Wellington Museum, and costs £1. It is published by Blaxland TAN of Taunton and is available from the museum in Fore Street.
John Jarrett, born in Kent in 1945, has been writing poetry since he was 20 and has had many of his poems published in magazines. After living in Taunton and Bournemouth he came to live in Wellington in April 2016.
