In normal times she gets involved with all the activities Ivy House has to offer but this year has been difficult for everyone, especially those who cannot get out independently.
Wendy has a large family and is loved dearly by all her six children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her 100th birthday party last year was luckily celebrated just before lockdown began.
A spokesperson for Ivy House said: “If asked her secret to looking so young for her age she would reply – ‘having six kids , soap and water for your face, and a glass of sherry every night’.”
