WELLINGTON Town Council has hit the back of the net with a section of the town’s football club after awarding it a £1,000 grant.

Councillors agreed last week to give the Wellington Wildcats, the girls’ section of the club, the grant to help grow membership. The council has previously supported the Wildcats with further grants.
