THE long wait for book lovers in Wiveliscombe ended on Friday (June 18) as, two years behind schedule, the new town library finally opened its doors.
The £66,300 project, dubbed "an unbelieveable fiasco" by local borough and parish councillor, Mary Whitmarch, has been dogged by difficulties with the opening date postponed several times.
