Wiveliscombe residents made the town sparkle last Saturday, when they turned out to collect their litter pickers and bin bags to scour the streets of Wiveliscombe litter picking and tidying up.

Organised by the Wiveliscombe Civic and Historical Society, the litter pick usually happens annually, but this was the first held since 2019.

Around 30 people joined in the event and the streets, parks and alleyways have never looked tidier.

A spokesperson said: “Thanks to everyone who helped today - it makes such a difference. And thanks too to Somerset West and Taunton Council for helping with some equipment to make the day run smoothly.

“Here’s to the next time.”
