THE Ostler Inn in Uffculme is again taking part in the World’s Biggest Pub Quiz for Men United, the Prostate Cancer UK Charity, on Sunday at 7.30pm.

Co-landlord James Stimson said: “We are proud to be participating for the third year in a row and hope that the usual strong turnout from locals and others will aid this very worthwhile fundraiser.”

The event brings the UK pub industry together to raise money for good causes. More than 50,000 quizzers in 2,000 venues raised £200,000 for 800 charities in 2016 and 2017.

Set up by PubAid in 2016, it is being delivered in 2018 with Prostate Cancer UK. Deaths from prostate cancer are set to soar and based on current trends this number will rise to more than 14,500 men a year by 2026.

James added: “Everyone enjoys a good quiz, so why not come along to the ‘World’s Biggest’ and help make a difference!”
