YOUNG and old of Wellington and across the district bowed their heads to pay tribute to the dead of two world wars, and to remember those who have died in more recent conflicts on Sunday.

Crowds gathered in Wellington Park to take part in the annual Service of Remembrance, organised by the local branch of the Royal British Legion, preceded by a march through the town led by the Wellington School band and guard of honour.
