WELLINGTON School’s Under 15s girls’ cricket team are the new county indoor champions.

They beat Castle School in the semi finals and King Edwards School in the final at the County ground, Taunton, and will go on to represent Somerset at the South West regional finals later this month.

With strength in depth, the girls are all competitive and supportive of each other and made a fantastic team effort which is a credit to the school.

They are coached by the ex-captain of the England ladies’ cricket team, Caroline Foster. Formerly Caroline Atkins, she made 17 Test appearances for England and won 77 caps in limited-overs cricket.

She is among a range of elite cricket coaching stars in their pursuit of excellence in sport and well-being at the school.
