WELLINGTON will be chasing a hat-trick of victories in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier Cricket League when they play at home to Shapwick & Polden on Saturday, June 28.
Wellington have beaten Bridgwater 2nd XI and Butleigh in the past fortnight but are still down in eighth spot, one place above Shapwick who have won only one game this season. However, the gap between the sides is 47 points.
At some point in Saturday’s game, a bench will be presented to the Wellington club to remember one of their biggest supporters Graham Sparks who died last September aged 62. The presentation will be made by his family.
Wellington 2nd XI are involved in a top of the table clash away to leaders West Monkton in the second division of the Somerset League. Wellington are lying second and in good form.
Wellington 3rd XI are home to Uphill Castle in Division Seven Red, the match to be played at Sampford Arundel. Uphill are lying second and Wellington fifth.
