DANIEL Bidgway won the Gardner Cup at Oake Manor Golf Club’s Saturday Medal, scoring a nett 60, four shots ahead of second-placed Calum Pinn.

Scores: Division One – Christopher Rudd nett 66, Josh Martin nett 67, Gary Tillett, also nett 67, Nathaniel Pepperell nett 68. Calum Pinn won Division Two, with nett 64, Richard Goodman came second with nett 66, Ian Blackwell was third with nett 68 and Dave Kinnear fourth with nett 69.

Gardner Cup winner Daniel Bidgway won Division Three with a score of nett 60, while the next three players all scored nett 67. On count back Christopher Dubery came second, Rupert Potter was third and Patrick Groody fourth.

The annual Husband and Wife Pairs Competition for the Jack King Trophy was played on Sunday. It was a very close competition won by Nadine and Daniel Bidgway with 47 points, just beating Ros and Colin Shepherd, also with 47 points, on count back. This was Daniel’s second trophy of the weekend. Sue and Colin Corlett were third with 45 points and Charlotte Bolton and Chris Yeats were fourth, also with 45 points.

Matthew Croker won Division One in the Sunday Stableford, scoring 44 points – the best of the day. Kobe Adams was second with 41 points, Ross Thomas came third with 40 points and David Male was fourth with 39 points.

Ollie Barratt won Division Two with 40 points, Paul Munday was second with 39 points, John Lowe was third with 38 points and Sam Hallett was fourth with 37 points.

Jonny Cole won Division Three, scoring 43 points, Rufus Williams-Pritchard was second, also 43 points, Alan Christian was third with 37 points and Mark Harris fourth, also 37 points.Peter Swann
