NICK Fenn scored a hole in one at Oake Manor Golf Club on Tuesday of last week. Nick, the former landlord of the Dolphin Inn in Waterloo Road, Wellington, aced the 14th hole while playing with a group of friends - Colin Dyke, Clive Thorne and Kuktar Saman.

They are all members of the Acorns who play at Oake Manor every Tuesday.

Nick, 60, who has been playing golf for 40 years, had never holed in one before. And in true hole in one tradition his round of drinks in the bar afterwards cost him £84!
