PETER Insall, of Ham, near Wellington, has achieved a hole in one while playing on the par 3 16th hole at Oake Manor Golf Club.
Peter (pictured), joint owner of The Big House Company at Tonedale, plays off a handicap of 20. He is married with two children and his wife Caroline said: “Tom plays a lot of golf and achieving a hole in one has made it all worthwhile.”
Peter was playing in a Wednesday competiton with a party who included Tom Lower, owner of Somerset Motor Home Centre, who said: “It was a great day for Peter – he jumped for joy and actually fell over with excitement on to his bag!”
Other members of the team were Jon Lower and Paul Sydenham.
Naturally it was drinks all round in the clubhouse afterwards.
