EMMY Boyland (left) and local girl Connie Buttle have raised a total of more than £2,500 for charity by running half marathons.

Both girls have been generously sponsored by friends, family and local businesses in their home towns of Wellington and Eastbourne respectively.

They are pictured at the end of the Hillingdon half marathon in London and took part in the Brighton event on Sunday.

Emmy is running for The Anthony Nolan Trust while Connie is running for the British Heart Foundation.
