FOUR-TIMES winner John Lane is through to the quarter-finals of Wellington Ex-Services Skittles League's Cyril Hicks Singles Trophy.

He was in impressive form at the Rockwell Green Institute last week when he was one of eight to progress to the final rounds next week.
