WELLINGTON police are keeping on top of anti-social behaviour by youths in the town.
Members of Wellington Town Council were told at their monthly meeting that 20 calls were made to Wellington police with ASB reports on them in December. This compared to 18 the previous month and 33 in October.
In total 219 calls were made to Wellington Town beat in December, compared to 271 in November and 236 in October.
Crime offences included: burglary – two, criminal damage – six, drug offences – three, theft and handling stolen goods – 12, violence against the person – 36, others – one.
