POLICE are concerned about the number of cyclists in the Wellington area who use their pushbikes at night without any lights.

“We are concerned about cyclists riding around in the dark without lights,” said Sgt Bishop. “We do need to do something this.”
Cllr James Hunt, however, went to the other extreme and said some cyclists had lights which were so bright that they become a hazard for other road users.
“Some bike lights are so bright – they are blinding,” said Cllr Hunt.
