FIREFIGHTERS rescued a woman from a car after it became stuck in floodwater at Nynehead Road, Nynehead, on Wednesday morning.

Fire crews wearing dry suits waded to the vehicle and got the woman to dry land after being called to the incident at 8.48am.

One fire appliance from Taunton, one from Wiveliscombe and the Special Rescue Team from Bridgwater were sent to the incident and Highways was asked to close the road.
