A BUILDING site worker had to be rescued by firefighters after he was injured in a fall on scaffolding in Hemyock.

The worker was stuck at roof height 20 feet above ground and unable to safely climb back down the scaffolding.
Wellington fire crews attended and called for an aerial ladder platform from Taunton and a special rescue team from Barnstaple.
It took 75 minutes for the casualty to be safely removed using the aerial ladder and he was transferred to paramedics and taken to hospital in an ambulance.
