Wellington seems, so far, to have escaped the worst of Storm Eunice, but it is still having noticeable effects.

Unconfirmed reports on social media are describing downed telephone lines, slates being ripped from roofs and trees toppled, including at Wellington School.
Some minor roads are blocked by fallen trees but no injuries have been reported so far.
