A Make a Joyful Noise evening at Thorne St Margaret church on Friday evening celebrated Make Music Day.

Seventy people packed the church and sang with gusto, led by the inimitable John Young.

Some £355 was raised in donations, to be split equally between Children’s Hospice South West and Jessie’s Fund, a charity which helps children with serious illness, complex needs and communication difficulties through music therapy.
