THE manager of Abbeyfield Ivy House in Wellington, Alisha Cordy, has won a national competition.

The Abbeyfield west division launched a quirky Christmas cake competition for all residents and staff of Abbeyfield houses throughout the country.

First place went to Alisha and this was announced in St John’s Church, Wellington, after the Abbeyfield annual Christmas carol service.

Alisha posted her cake on Facebook to raise money for Dementia UK and this coined in £135 for the charity.

Second place went to an Abbeyfield house in Rugby and third to a house in Solihull.
